Currency Strength Strategy

Built on a single question: which currency is strong today, and which is weak?

We don’t forecast the market — we measure where the money flows. This page explains openly why the strategy works, how the rule is built and what it does not promise.

Why it works

01Money doesn’t hang in the air

95% of the money in the currency market circulates among eight currencies. If money leaves one, it must enter another. So there can never be a day when they all strengthen at once — every day, without exception, there is a strongest and a weakest currency.

Systems die because they rely on a cyclical feature — volatility, trend. The Currency Strength Strategy relies on the market’s structure: currencies are measured against each other. If that ever breaks, all currency trading is over.

The system doesn’t predict the future; it measures the current flow. It doesn’t tell you where to go — it tells you which way north is. The decision is yours.

The rule

Three steps: measure, choose, and stay out when needed

  1. 1

    Measure strength

The strength of eight currencies is measured against each other. The calculation is based on the internal structure of price — the “magnet logic” — not on a bar count.

  2. 2

    Strongest against weakest

We don’t look at 28 pairs one by one: the strongest currency is traded against the weakest. On the sample day that is GBP/CAD. The right idea on the wrong pair is cut in half.

  3. 3

    Tangled strengths — stay out

If strengths are tangled together, there is no trade that day. Two trades a day instead of ten — costs drop fivefold and results don’t suffer.

A basket, not a pair

We don’t look at 28 pairs one by one. We measure the strength of eight currencies and trade the strongest against the weakest. The right idea on the wrong pair is cut in half.

02
timer

Neither late nor early

Market strength indicators count bars and signal after 70% of the move is gone. Our calculation is based on the internal structure of price — the “magnet logic”. The result: a small stop, a cheap entry.

03
block

It also says “stay out”

When strengths are tangled together, you don’t enter that day. Two trades instead of ten. In our experience “where not to enter” earns more than “where to enter”.

A compass, not a forecast

The eye gets used to the colours once — then you look and you know. The system doesn’t predict the future; it measures the current flow. A humbler claim, but one that works.

The tools

4 strength indicators and 2 versions

The indicators are not sold separately — lesson 7 of the professional training teaches the logic of using all four together.

Indicator 01
speed

Bakhishov MAS

One of the four strength indicators of the Currency Strength Strategy. The calculation is based on the internal structure of price, not on a bar count.

Indicator 02
grid_view

BCSM Matrix Power

Shows the strength of eight currencies against each other at a glance: which currency is strong today and which is weak.

Indicator 03
trending_up

Bakhishov Trend Signal

Tracks the direction and strength of the trend. Used inside the system together with the other indicators, never on its own.

Indicator 04
compare_arrows

BCSM Divergence Delta

Tracks the gap between strengths: when strengths are tangled together, that is a stay-out signal.

Currency Strength Strategy

Swing version

Catches the direction of the day. The stop follows structure — the nearest low/high — so it is usually 10–20 pips. One or two trades a day, then the terminal is closed.

Currency Strength Strategy V2.0

Intraday version

For the window from mid-Asian session to the European open. Same logic, shorter target. With rules for closing the day — or at most three days — in profit.

This measurement has been worked on for three years: dozens of formulas tested, most of them set aside. The research doesn’t stop — every new finding is given to past students for free.

Honest questions

Most frequent questions about the strategy

Seeing which currency is strong today and which is weak — and trading the strongest against the weakest. That is the whole system. I do not call it an indicator, I call it the compass of the market — a compass for 28 currency pairs. You look at the screen in the morning and you know at a glance: where money is leaving today, and where it is flowing.

Because the currency market has an advantage no other market has. When a crisis hits the stock market everything turns red — you can only earn by selling. In currencies, when one rises another must fall. If money has left one currency it has gone into another; it does not hang in the air. About 95% of the market moves between eight currencies, and every day, every hour, there is a strongest and a weakest among them. My job is to catch that difference.

I have tested almost every strength indicator on the market. Their main problem is this: they are late. They take an average of fifty candles and give a signal after 70% of the move is gone — they offer you the remaining 30%. Stop 70, target 30. Backwards. What I was looking for was something that is neither late nor early. The calculation does not rest on a number of bars but on the internal structure of price. I call it magnet logic: two kilos on one side, five on the other — the system feels the heavier side before the move starts. The result is that you enter at the beginning of the move and your stop is small.

I asked myself that question before anyone else, because I have seen it: a system works for five years and in the sixth it lies down. Why? Because it rests on volatility, on trend, on a cyclical property of the market — when the cycle changes the system limps. I rested the system on the definition of the market instead: currencies are measured against each other, they cannot all strengthen at the same time. That was true in 2005, in 2020 and today. No crisis and no headline can change it. And on a day with no strength difference the system tells you itself: do not enter today. The research also never stops — it continues every day.

There is almost nothing like it on the market. If there were, I would have found it — I have been through everything from MQL5 to every popular and unpopular site out there. For three years I have worked on a single question: how do you measure the strength of a currency correctly? I have tested dozens of formulas and set most of them aside. What remains — four indicators — is what works on your screen today.

This is the finest part of the system. You no longer open 28 charts one by one looking for "something here". In the morning you look: who is strongest, who is weakest — that is your pair. Let me put the difference in numbers. One day it was clear the pound would weaken. GBP/NZD fell 126 pips, GBP/USD fell 209 — because the dollar was the strongest that day. The same idea, twice the result. A correct idea works fully only in the correct pair.

When the strength lines run into each other or move in parallel — that is a sideways market, a correction zone. You stay out. And that is not a weakness, it is the strength of the system. People who make money in a range lose it in a trend, and people who make money in a trend lose it in a range. Currency Strength exists to filter the range out and find trend conditions. One example: on 16 February the strengths were tangled up in each other — we did not enter. A day later a 190–200 pip move began. Whoever waited caught it from the start.

Two or three good signals a day are enough. I do not push you into ten trades a day — on the contrary, the system steers you towards few, high-quality trades. Fewer trades means lower costs, less tension and a clearer head. The market creates opportunities every day; you take your own, not all of them.

The stop is placed by structure — below the nearby low, above the nearby high. Because the entry is at the beginning of the move, the stop is usually small: between 10 and 27 pips. The target is normally twice the stop: 18 against 40, 22 against 44, 27 against 54. A small stop means small risk; small risk means a long life. In the training we also cover trading at a 1:5 ratio alongside 1:2.

There is no need to rush. Once the conditions are there the market gives you three or four candles — on the fifteen-minute chart that is roughly eight candles of time. You look calmly, you calculate the risk, you set the lot and you enter. For comparison: with some popular methods you wait hours, even two days, for a zone.

The Currency Strength Strategy is the swing version: it catches the direction of the day or of several days. Currency Strength Strategy V2.0 is for intraday trading. The logic is the same, the tool is the same; the difference is the size of the target and the holding time. We cover both in the training and you pick the one that fits you — the rhythm of your life.

It was built exactly for you. The system does not demand five or six hours from you. The moment conditions appear, a notification arrives on your phone. You take a one or two minute break, you look, you calculate the risk, you set the stop and the target — and you close the terminal. Let it run to take profit. That is how I work too: do not quit your job, run this alongside it. The best job is the one you already know.

I have my own solution — it may sound funny, but it works: I set three alarms. If I sleep through two, the third wakes me. I see the notification, I set the stop and the target, and I go back to sleep. The system consists of a stop and a target — there is no need to watch a screen at night.

Yes. No extraordinary intelligence is required here — a normal person's capacity to understand is enough. In my view there are two conditions for becoming a professional trader: desire and self-confidence. Every currency has its own colour — the euro blue, the dollar red, the pound light blue. Your eye gets used to the colours once, and after that you look and you know. I have put the complexity into the calculation; what is left for you is simple use.

I do — but not as a shop window, in your own terminal. The fifth lesson of the training is exactly that: backtesting, optimisation, forward testing, and how to do them properly. You test the strategy over past periods yourself and see it with your own eyes. Once you have built statistics going backwards, a visual calmness appears in a person — your hand does not shake in live trading. I do not put a results screenshot on the site: any result picture can be faked these days, and professional knowledge is not built on image. Do not believe my word — believe your own test.

The indicators come with the training — and they come in a way that is far better value than buying them separately: for life, no monthly subscription, and every future update free. There is no "your indicator has expired, pay again". I do not sell them separately, because a tool does not work on its own — you have to know when, how and why you use it. Joining my training means joining a community of traders.

Eighty per cent of the process is already algorithmic: the strength calculation, finding the signal, the notification. The remaining 20% is your visual decision, and that is an advantage: the decision stays in your hands. I am working on an automated system, and everyone who joins the training — past students included — will benefit from it.

The system is built for the currency basket — and that is in your favour. People think gold pays more. It does not — gold gives more pips. A 200 pip stop on gold with 0.01 lots is a $20 risk; a 20 pip stop on EUR/GBP with 0.1 lots is also $20. Same risk, same reward. Whatever you can make on gold you can make in currencies — without breaking your psychology in the process.

You can, and it suits it very well. At a prop firm your main enemy is the daily loss limit. Currency Strength opens few trades, works with small stops and tells you "do not enter" when the strengths are tangled — under prop conditions that is worth its weight in gold. The training is personalised: for someone going the prop route we build the explanation around the daily limit, lot size and working hours.

Any broker — there is no rush to open an account. But if you ask me, the broker we work with is Tickmill: a broker of many years, low spreads, and on a RAW account the cost shows up as an open commission — which is decisive for someone working with small stops. Students who open a real Tickmill account of at least $500 get 40% off the training.

The research continues every day, until the middle of the night. As soon as I find a new parameter or a new approach I hold a separate seminar for past students and share it free. Because this is my principle: I would gain that knowledge and they would be left behind — that is not who I am.
